1st React Healthcare only employ staff who have the right values and skills to support people in their own homes. All of our staff receive ongoing training and supervision, this means we ensure our staff have the ability to work to the highest possible standard.
Our Employment Process
By employing the right people 1st React Healthcare has a strict recruitment procedure. This includes verifying references and undertaking a Disclosure and Barring Service check, this tells us if anyone has a criminal record.
At 1st React Healthcare we are committed to having well trained, caring & knowledgeable staff. Our staff are what makes us a cut above the rest. We employ a full time registered Trainer & Assessor for healthcare to deliver a range of training to all staff.
All of our staff must complete a comprehensive 12 week induction programme. We make sure our staff have continued training throughout their employment and our training leads to nationally recognised qualifications. All staff have a personal training and development plan to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to undertake their job role.

1st React have a core of excellent experienced staff who provide a very high quality of personal care and support. In particular, I have been impressed by the long-term commitment to some challenging clients, often requiring staff to work in some 'less than ideal' environments. The management is also very good at advocating for their clients when levels of support are considered inadequate or client circumstances change.
I have really enjoyed my time at 1st React Healthcare. I have had many opportunities for training which has included my Diploma Level 3 on medication which allows me to be the ambassador. We get reminders about mandatory training and are given plenty of notice to be able to complete them in.
We cared for a lady that sadly passed away and I was her main carer and worked closely with her niece too. She had a lot of mental health issues and struggled to interact with most carers. After 3 years at the company, we built up a strong relationship and she told me all about her life and struggles over the years and she felt most comfortable with me at all her visits. She expressed this to the manager and Deputy and they accommodated her on my run. I did weekly cleaning for this lady which was a struggle as she didn't like much doing but would let me do more each week. Shopping for her was completed by myself as well as her laundry. I have a lot of support from 1st react when I'm out on visits. I regularly visit the office at least once a week to just say hello and collect anything from my tray and I give them updates on compliments from clients about other carers. They always pass these on as the carers are really pleased when I next see them.
